The Deli was bought in 2015 by accomplished ex London head chef Andrew Storer, originally from Suffolk and his Italian wife Stefania. The Black Dog Deli is fast becoming a must visit on the Suffolk coast and in 2017 it was runner-up in the East Anglian Daily Times Suffolk Food and Drink Awards for Best Newcomer.
Andrew worked under Albert Roux as a head chef for Roux fine dining and various private members clubs in London including The Irish Club and The world famous Naval and military Club (The In & Out club). Andrew has dedicated his life to refining his skills as a chef.
Together with Stefania’s Italian charm and the smell of freshly brewed coffee, the deli has become a mainstay in Walberswick‘s way of life.
“Now after nearly 20 years working in London we are proud to be running our own Deli using all we have learnt along the way to create a truly unique place. We change things on a daily basis and are always looking for something new to tickle your taste buds with.“
